Dear Friends,

It is over. Barbara passed away around 4:45 pm today. We were able to keep her comfortable and she died peacefully, at home, with her family. I guess we could ask no more. We know she is at rest now. We will miss her terribly.

Thank you all for you words, prayers, and moral support. Your friendship is a great comfort.

No flowers please. Any remembrance may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 2100 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Sincerely,

John

Barbara Scott Beoddy

Obituary

GRANITE BAY, CA: After a year battling lymphoma, Barbara passed away August 11 2012, peacefully at home.

Survived by her husband of 57 years, John; daughters, Suzanne Browning (Steve), Rebecca Britton (Jerry), son, Christopher (Christine); and six grandchildren, (James, Anna, Joshua, Micah, Lisa, and Tyler).

Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, August 20, 1934, Barbara enjoyed life as the adventurous wife of an Air Force pilot. In her words, "I can't believe that little Barbara Scott could grow up and have the opportunity to live such a wonderful, exciting, and rewarding life." Throughout that life she gave constant love, care, and devotion to her family, friends, and those she served through her many volunteer activities. She was loved by all who knew her.

Barbara's ashes will eventually be interred along with those of her husband at the Air Force Academy. No words can express the depth of the loss of this precious woman. Although the sparkle of her eyes is gone, the memory of her loving spirit lives on.

In lieu of flowers, any remembrances should be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 2100 J Street, Sacramento, CA, 95816. A memorial service will be held there on 1 September 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
