1. We were allowed to miss several classes prior to the game at 3:15pm. The N.Y. Giants Coach's were very helpful with our players during the warm up prior to the game.
2. The N. Y. Giants players were very relaxed, and they enjoyed batting baseballs off of the buildings across the street from our outfield fence.
3. CARDILLO HIT A HOME RUN AS OUR LEAD OFF BATTER-GREAT WAY FOR US TO START THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Lots and lots of Boy Scouts came to the game, and they collected numerous baseballs that were hit over the fence.
5. Manager Leo Durocher greatly enjoyed the game, and he managed part of the game from our bleachers.
6. During the 1955 season, the N.Y. Giants invited our baseball team to one of their games in N. Y. City. Several of our players got to take part in the N. Y. Giants' warm up prior to the game.
So-Lots of great memories from the game at West Point and from the 1954 World Series Champion N. Y. Giants
Warm Regards,
Dan Moses
